Sometimes a picture tells the story: a Howard Dean sign next to a Kerry sign in NH
Mike posted a photo of a Dean campaign sign next to a Kerry campaign sign that he took while we were volunteering (for Dean) in New Hampshire last weekend. The Dean sign says "Hope not Fear" and the Kerry sign says "Doubting Dean? Vote Kerry." Quite a contrast in messaging style.
House party coordinators conference call with Dean
I'm helping Amanda Boer coordinate house parties in Massachusetts for the Dean campaign. David Salie, the national director of the house party program, hosted a conference call tonight with volunteer state coordinators across the country. About thirty minutes into the call Governor Dean joined us to share his thoughts on the house party program ......
Howard Dean and Social Networking
Wearing my Howard Dean winter cap seems equivalent to being a dog owner. People out walking their dogs always seem more likely to have strangers come up to them for random conversations. This morning while waiting for the bus someone mentioned they liked my Dean hat. Mike gave me a tip ...
Pingapalooza
Something is a bit off with Movable Type's trackback feature or I'm doing something wrong. Whenever I update an entry that I've pinged someone else on already, it re-pings that person's website and lists my entry a second (and beyond) time on their trackback listing. Oops?
Dean on CNN after the New Hampshire primary results
Howard Dean's weblog quite speedily posted the transcript from his interview with Larry King on CNN earlier tonight. Dean talked about his "solid second" in the New Hampshire primary. I just wish he had used some (more?) of the stuff from the main campaign website's "Stand With Us" call to action. ...
The car had other plans
We didn't make it to New Hampshire tonight thanks to a cranky car. So, it was a night of television watching. I thought Dean gave a pretty good speech at the end of the night. My roommate Meg and I are hopeful that he will be able to reach out to ...
Google and Howard Dean
I'm not sure if I would go so far as to say I'm obsessed with my referrer statistics but I do check the page often enough that it's probably pretty close. It's fun to see Google putting my website above the mainstream press's blatherings about Howard Dean's post-Caucus speech (aka "The Angry Yell That ......
World66: Where have you visited in the United States
This "create a map of where you've been" web tool at World66 is nifty. But it doesn't beat Michael's hand drawn maps!
Website Referrer Spam from Joe Lieberman
Is Joe Lieberman's crew responsible for the referrer spam that I'm finding in my web stats? Yikes. How unclassy. At this point I think it's going to take a lot more than good page rankings on Google and links to his website to help this guy out.
Howard Dean’s Caucus Speech in Iowa : A video from someone in the crowd
While the media is hyper focused on the sixteen second snippet (which interestingly enough has the crowd's audio mostly removed that Dean needed to yell over), someone in the crowd video taped Dean's speech and it's online. Context is everything! The speech is available in QuickTime and Windows Media formats. » Howard Dean's Iowa ......
Beyond the Media
Dave Winer: "Listening to reporter commentary today it seems Dean must have no chance of winning New Hampshire." I guess I'm remaining hopeful and optimistic that people (beyond those of us already supporting Dean and the movement he represents) will see beyond what the media chooses to say. As much as I'm irritated that Michael...
Quote of the day
My youngest sister Amy called me tonight on my way to meet up with friends. I told her about the late night/early morning Dean rally I went to and asked her if she had heard of Howard Dean yet. She quickly responded: "Of course I know who he is! I read Time Magazine!" ...
