Each month I’ve lived in the Bay Area since relocating from Boston last Summer brings a fresh batch of new. This month it’s roses in March and it’s certainly something I did not see in Boston or Nebraska.
I started to dig back into my Flickr account recently. Here are some of the photos I’ve taken around North Oakland. Click on a photo to see a larger image.
[tweetmeme] I took these photos the other day walking down Dane Street in Somerville to catch the 86 bus to Harvard Square. See more of my photos at Sooz Photography.
Growing up in Nebraska, peony bushes lined the back of my grandparents house in Fremont. On Memorial Day Weekend, we’d cut the flowers and put them in mason jars to bring to relatives graves around northeastern Nebraska. Ever since then, peonies (and lilacs) have been my favorite flower. They only bloom for a few weeks in May and early June — not long enough!
I took this photo of two pink peonies in Central Square in front of Betahouse. View the image on Flickr to see a larger view of the flowers.
Today was a really great day outside. It might actually be Spring! I took this photo of tulips in Harvard Square on Mt. Auburn Street. Click the photo to see a bigger version at Flickr.
