There are two events on Saturday, October 22nd that look like a lot of fun. First up is the Life is Good Pumpkin Festival on the Boston Common. They’re trying to break the Guinness Book of World Records for most lit jack-o-lanterns. Last year there were over 50,000 people who attended the fest. You can bring an already carved pumpkin and candle or bring a pumpkin to carve on the Boston Common. The 2004 record is held by the Keene Pumpkin Festival in New Hampshire with 28,952 lit pumpkins. The Keene festival is also taking place on October 22nd. Later that night Josh Cole and the Household are having a CD Release party at the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge for Hipicriticool. And speaking of the Lizard Lounge, they finally have a website.
