Workbar hosted a terrarium crafts and drafts event at it’s Union Square coworking space in Somerville on December 19, 2017. Here are the photos I captured as the event photographer. Click on a photo to see a larger image. Looking for a Boston event photographer? Say hello.
2.Oakland hosted a spring mixer at The Port Workspaces on April 21st bringing together individuals who are excited to create a thriving tech and innovation community for Oakland and the East Bay. Their events and programs support existing tech companies as well as organizations who would like to relocate to the area.
I contributed my event photography services for the event. Click on a photo to see a larger image. The album is also available to view on Flickr.
I doubt I could possibly mention enough how much I love living so close to Union Square in Somerville. It’s somehow managed to stay a “real” neighborhood with an emphasis on local first — and there are always fun and interesting events happening thanks to groups like Somerville Local First, Union Square Main Streets and the Somerville Arts Council. SAC hosted the first Hungry Tiger Street Festival on Saturday night — turning Union Square Plaza into a swarm of people, street food and music — and the enormous tiger made out of wire mesh and decorated colorful plastic sheets.

Last year I tagged along with friends to an event called OUTSPOKEN at Precinct. It was part of Boston’s Queer Women of Color and Friends’ “QWOC Week.” I’ll confess, whenever I heard the words “spoken word” it’s not something I would generally seek out for an event. But OUTSPOKEN was good, very good. I learned about London Bridgez — and now when someone says “spoken word” I’m not so quick to judge. I happened to have my camera with me last year and shot a bunch of photos.
The 2011 event happened this week. Browse the event photo gallery of OUTSPOKEN 2011 photos I shot on August 4th at Club Choices in Somerville.
The 5th Annual HONK! Festival
Saturday, October 4, 2010
I shot this photo at the HONK! Festival while wandering around checking out the various performances. Perched up in the tree, she had a great view of the street band playing in front of a big crowd.

[tweetmeme] I’ve got a new website for my work as a freelance Boston photographer at Sooz Photography. There are more photos to add but you can wade through what’s there now — an assortment of photos capturing the world around me: animals, flowers, events, people, conferences, life in Boston, concerts, awesomeness, etcetera. What started out as a hobby taking concert photos for several years has transformed into work as a freelance photographer.
Photo Prints, Merchandise and Digital Downloads
Many of the photos are available in high-resolution format that can be purchased as prints, merchandise and digital downloads. Like flowers? This photo of a pink and yellow rose on Newbury Street would make a cool print.

Thursday night I attended Eric Olson and Frank Gruber’s TECH cocktail Boston 2 networking event as participant and official event paparazzi. The event took place at Tequila Rain across the street from Fenway Park. My photos from the night’s festivities are over on TECH cocktail’s flickr account. Dig in!
